As you are celebrating Ramadan 2018 in Rwanda. So it is important to Learn about history and importance of Ramadan. Ramadan is a very important month for All Muslim brothers and sisters from around the globe. It may be just a simple month for non-Muslims but a very important and holy month for Muslims.
Many of you would know the history of Ramadan Month but still, there are many brothers and sister who don’t know about this holy month history. And this is our responsibility to share Islam with all the people of the world.
Ramadan is the 9th month of the Islamic calendar. The term Ramadan literally means scorching in Arabic. It was established as a Holy Month for Muslims after the Quran was revealed to the Prophet Muhammad in 610 CE on the occasion known as Laylat al-Qadr, frequently translated as “the Night of Power.
Ramadan is a very important month and it’s the only month of the year where rewards are doubled and tripled.
As Holy Quran Says:
“The month of Ramadan [is that] in which was revealed the Qur’an, guidance for the people and clear proofs of guidance and criterion. So whoever sights [the new moon of] the month, let him fast it; and whoever is ill or on a journey – then an equal number of other days. Allah intends for you ease and does not intend for you hardship and [wants] for you to complete the period and to glorify Allah for that [to] which He has guided you, and perhaps you will be grateful.”
Importance Fasting In Ramadan Month:
You are well aware of Fast but let me discuss it for those who don’t about it. Muslim Fast from sunset to Dawn. There are different timings of Dawn and Sunset in different countries of the world. Therefore duration of fast is different in different countries. It can vary from 15 hrs. To 21 Hrs.
You can say fasting is the backbone of Ramadan month. Fasting doesn’t mean to just remain hungry from dawn to sunset but you have to do the good deed all the day. Make sure you don’t harm anybody, don’t tell a lie, don’t use abusive language, stay away from sex and other bad things. In other words have to keep fast of your mouth, ears, hands, and eyes.
Suhoor, eaten at Sahar is the most crucial meal at some point of Ramadan. And as you put together for this wondrous season and its conventional practices, one of the most dramatic matters that you may in all likelihood don’t forget is the deep-rooted ritual of the Musaharati – the man who heralds the method of Suhour with the thrashing of his drum.
The food that we eat in dawn is called suhoor. Suhoor is sunnah. In suhoor, you need to eat the food that is energetic and healthy. Avoid eating spicy food. And try to drink as much water as you can.
More tips and foods to eat in suhoor is you can find on the internet.
Iftar is the thing that all are eagerly waiting for! Especially children’s are eagerly waiting for it. In Iftar, every family makes good and spicy foods. But the important thing to care about is to care about others too. Try to share with those who can’t afford good food.
The main thing of Ramadan Month is to care about others and make dua for mughfirat for all Muslims. Allah has given us the happiness of Eid-ul-Fitr after Ramadan month. So that you can get the reward in this world and of course a greater reward is waiting in Jannah.
