FIFA 18 Demo release date CONFIRMED: PS4, Xbox demo available TODAY after ratings reveal

After a week of FIFA 18 Player Rating reveals, the FIFA 18 Demo release date has been CONFIRMED overnight with EA Sports tweeting at midnight to let fans know that the demo will be available TODAY for PS4, Xbox One and PC Origin users.

For now there is no official release time provided by EA Sports for the demo, although we would bet on it being available at roughly 5/6pm in line with past EA Sports reveals and releases – it’s also an ideal time for most timezones around the world.

That said, there is also a warning on the official EA Sports reveal that explains release times are subject to change, depending on regions and platform.

“You’ll be able to play Kick Off mode with a selection from the world’s biggest clubs and stadiums, and preview of the next chapter in Alex Hunter’s story, The Journey: Hunter Returns ahead of the game’s official launch on 29th September,” Sony confirms.

“Player Personalities give some of the biggest stars in the world the distinct traits of their real-world counterparts, Team Styles let players mimic their favourite clubs’ distinct on-field tactics, and Immersive Atmospheres bring some of the football world’s most famous stadiums to life during matches.

“Plus, enjoy the brand-new broadcast overlays for La Liga and MLS, as well as vibrant and region-specific sights and sounds that make football’s biggest stadiums come to life.”

It was thought that the FIFA 18 demo was set to launch on Xbox One on September 15, as indicated by a leak last week on the console’s official store.

However, this looks to have been pretty far off the mark.

The official teams list has also been confirmed for the FIFA 18 demo and can be found below and it looks exactly like the list leaked last week.

PS4, Xbox One and PC players can try out any one of these 13 top football clubs in Kick Off mode:

Manchester City, Manchester United, Chelsea, Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid, Juventus, Bayern Munich, PSG, LA Galaxy, Toronto FC, Boca Juniors, C.D. Guadalajar and Vissel Kobe

Let’s also not forget that last week there was a rather big FIFA 18 leak when several of the biggest Premier League Team ratings were leaked on social media website Twitter.

A tweet from “gamer and programmer” Lucas Pezzatti has ‘revealed’ what many believe could be the final team ratings for Manchester United, Manchester City and Premier League Champions Chelsea.

And from those three Premier League Teams, it’s Jose Mourinho’s Europa League Champions who are bottom of the UK teams included in the demo.

United have the worst attack and defence out of the demo’s three Premier League sides and only just match their City rivals in midfield – yet are still behind Chelsea’s 85 rated midfield rating.

There are also four stadiums currently confirmed as playable in FIFA 18, these include:

Santiago Bernabéu
La Bombonera
StubHub Center
King Fahd Stadium
As mentioned above, players will also be able to experience more of the new Journey Mode, featuring Alex Hunter.

“Preview the next chapter in Hunter’s story in the Demo as he goes global alongside a star-studded supporting cast featuring Cristiano Ronaldo, Antoine Griezmann, James Harden, plus new playable characters,” the Sony statement adds.

“The future is bright, and the world is talking about Hunter… but life in football isn’t always fair.”

To deliver innovation in FIFA 18, Cristiano Ronaldo’s data was recently recorded during a training session at a mobile EA Capture studio in Madrid. Data capture of Ronaldo’s acceleration, run cadence, skills, and shooting technique were all recorded to bring veracity to his likeness and personality in FIFA 18. His data also informed important gameplay elements including fluidity, player responsiveness and explosiveness.
