Black Friday 2017: John Lewis DEALS revealed ahead of official price cuts

Black Friady 2017 is almost here – there is only just over a week left to wait until Friday 24th November.

Ahead of the pre-Christmas consumer frenzy starting up properly, some retailers have already started rolling out offers in anticipation of the biggest shopping date in November.

The UK high street chain has already attracted quite a lot of attention so far this month.

Late last week it launched its highly-anticipated John Lewis Christmas advert, featuring the cuddly Moz the Monster (quite the departure from last year’s trampolining dog).

But releasing the advert was only the start of John Lewis’ festive plans.

To continue its campaign of Christmas excitement, the retailer has started to announce a few deals and offers ahead of Black Friday itself.

You’ll see some of the best offers we’ve seen in the gallery below, but keep reading to discover more about those early deals from John Lewis.

The first deals revolved around toys: items such as the Star Wars Millennium Falcon Papercraft Pack is down to £4.96, from £15.59.

This comes in the wake of Argos Black Friday deals, which have also featured a variety of Star Wars items.

When it comes to electrical and tech products, John Lewis has cut the price of the Macbook Pro, Macbook Air and Macbook, and announced a deal that makes it easier to buy one.

The base Macbook Pro usually costs £1,249 from the official Apple store, but John Lewis will now be selling it for £1,099.

If you want something a bit lighter than the Macbook Pro, the entry level Macbook Air has an RRP of £949 for the 2017 model, but John Lewis is offering a £100 discount and offering the machine at £849.

The starting prices for the Retina Macbook on the official Apple store is £1,249 for the model wth 256GB of SSD storage, but John Lewis is also selling that at a cheaper rate.

For those looking to pick up a telly, there’s plenty of offers available on a series of Full HD and 4K TV’s made by Samsung, Sony, LG and more brands.

When is Black Friday?

Black Friday, which takes place on the day after Thanksgiving, falls on November 24 this year.

Many deals will appear online as soon as the clock strikes midnight, while a majority of UK’s high street retailers will open at 6am.

The shopping bonanza will last all weekend, and is followed by Black Friday’s online equivalent Cyber Monday on November 27.

What is Cyber Monday?

Cyber Monday has been identified the busiest day of the year for online shopping, and in 2017 it’s expected to be Monday 27 November immediately following Black Friday.

So you’re going to want to make sure you save some money over the weekend to take advantage of some of the best deals of the year online, from retailers like Amazon, ASOS, eBay, GAME and more.
